Today I met with my energy-worker friend who performed a healing
session with me. He found that my liver and kidneys are relatively weak, which
would explain why I’m prone to UTIs. His friend, an aromatherapist, mixed up an
essential oil blend based on my Ayurvedic constitution: Pitta. I felt great
after the session and he recommended I see a TCM practitioner to get an herbal
blend to assist with the liver and kidney deficiencies. Interestingly enough,
both are responsible for bringing chi down to my lower extremities. Ahem, hello
knee. He also recommended to work the liver and kidney reflex points of my feet
and incorporate foods like soups, room temperature fruit eaten by itself, carrot/celery/beet
juice, ground bison, kidney and black beans, asparagus and to go easy on hot
spices. The concept is to neutralize the hot Pitta energy.
Afterwards, Richard drove me to Desert Sage Herbs where they
were supposed to have Solomon’s Seal waiting for me. It's a flowering plant that's used to treat pain and promote tissue growth. The woman there told me
they sold out and I was not a happy camper. I felt irritated that we drove all
the way to the east valley to pick up and item I was told was in. It’s such an
ordeal to go anywhere with my leg braced up and achy. Simple tasks like getting
in and out of the car and walking to a front door are draining. I have an
entirely new perspective and understanding of people who are incapacitated.
My leg started to bother me after my ordeal at Desert Sage
so Richard brought me home, fed me lunch and ran a few errands for me. What a
freakin’ trooper. I would not be able to do this without him and I am truly
blessed. I iced for a long time, rubbed more of my fantastic blends into my
knee and rested. My butt started to hurt so I took a bath and washed my hair.
It’s amazing how the little things I used to take for granted are so
challenging now. What a newfound appreciation for life!
I also ordered my Solomon ’s Seal tincture and salve online.
Thank you very much.
