My leg stiffens up every morning
and it’s like starting from square one again. The Epsom salt baths really help get
me moving each day. I had brunch with a good friend and it felt wonderful to
catch up and feel half-way normal, besides the robot leg.
Afterwards, I had to go to an
American Express travel branch as a favor for someone, spent forever there and ended up leaving my
driver’s license, in which I had to drive all the way back, thus making me late
for an appointment and my first real freak-out episode since my injury. I was
pissed and had absolutely no control over my emotions. I had calmed down by the
time I got to my office/dojo and hanging out with the kids helped me to relax
and live in the moment.
I came home early and cooked dinner,
propped my knee up and took a rest. After a while, I did all of my physical therapy exercises including straight leg raises, heels slides, quad/ham/butt sets, etc. I think I overdid it because me knee started to hurt towards bedtime.
